My Baby Dad...

As Mother's Day approaches, I can't help but think about how important Derek's role is in my mothering.  I can't imagine parenting my children without him.
He's the yin to my yang and a punching bag/trampoline/playmate for our children (human and canine)!

May 5 {Tea}

Cole's school hosted a Mother's Day Tea today. It was so cute!
The kids created some adorable gifts for the mommies.
And, the children preformed some poetry and song for the mommies.
Cole kept things interesting again!

In other news...
....the weather was lovely and we were healthy enough for some outside time!

...peonies are budding! (this means my birthday is close!)

...baby was happy.
...Derek has more organization up his sleeve.

...Cole sat at the dinner table for an hour and a half...but ended up going to bed hungry because he refused to eat.  (Grrrr!)  He asks now if Mom or Dad cooked...because he likes to eat what his dad cooks.  Mom puts too many vegetables in dinner!

Friends Visit

Our friends and family came to visit this week!  Na, G, Jayjay, Laura, Chris, and the girls brought dinner and spent the evening with us.
Jayjay got to meet her niece for the first time.
Cole loved having "Stewwa and Wia" (Stella and Maria) over to play!  They ran, worked puzzles, played hide & seek, and had tons of fun.
We took turns trying to keep little Miss happy. D & Laura had the touch!
And, Little Miss got her first chirpractic adjustment!  We are hoping that getting her aligned and balanced correctly might help her little digestive system!  We will be scheduling a follow up with Dr. Murry soon!
It was so nice to spend time with friends!  We all enjoyed it and can't wait to do it again!

First Smiles

We are a week into Maxine's smiles!
Baby Genius - smiling at less than 3 weeks of age!
Smiles for Mommy.
Smiles for Daddy.

There have been lots of smiles for Big Brother too!  Unfortunately, I am on germ patrol when Cole and Maxine are close.  He's had ear infections, a cold, and strep!  :(
