May 11 {So grateful}

Alternate Titles:
{Adventure}
{Fear & Worry}
{Parental Panic}

The most "exciting" part of our day took place at 3:00 am when Maxine had a coughing fit.  Her coughing woke me immediately.  After a minute of the coughing, I called Derek.  The coughing lasted several minutes and Ms. Max did not seem to be getting any good breaths in the coughing.  We panicked and called 911.  Paramedics arrived quickly and checked her over - her coughing had stopped by the time they arrived.  With my mama worry - thinking about all of the horror stories and my lack of knowledge of SIDS, etc, I decided that we should go have her looked over.  Not long after our arrival at St. Anthony's, we got a perfect bill of health for her.  The coughing was likely just choking on spit up.  Derek and Cole picked us up and we were all home and back to bed by 5 am.  The rest of the day was spent being so thankful that we were only dealing with acid reflux and a minor coughing spell.  I took every opportunity to cuddle her, watch her, and I admit that she didn't spend much time out of my arms.  My heart goes out to any parent who has had to deal with this type of situation with any other outcome.  I am so grateful for the health and wellness of my children.
