poor pooch

Look what I did to our poor dog.

Hey Lita, Which is worse...running from Katrina, or dealing with this new haircut?

I think the look on her face says it all...

Watermelon...

...is in season.

...tastes best after this little tool has transformed it into neat little bites.

...is loved by this cute little mouth!

Unveiling Cole's Room

Cole's new room has a little surprise hiding in it....

....actually it is quite large...

...it's a chalkboard wall!

The perfect place for drawing "tall, tall grass" (Cole's first creation on the wall), or whatever your heart desires.

A Kings Work

...is never done - but Daddy's deck project is coming along nicely.

Oma

We have received scary news about Oma.

She is "sick with something in her belly," as we have told Cole.

The something in her belly is cancer, more specifically on her pancreas and liver.

We are scared and sad and trying to hold it together.

We are also grateful and sentimental and trying to show her how very much we love her.

Please keep Oma in your heart and prayer and thoughts.
